Is this still America?

OK, this is my first official blog. I was thinking today, after reading a bunch of news articles on different topics and watching youtube; what is going on in our country? Obama is an idiot, the democrats have gone over the top and we are pretty much helpless to stop any of them. Ok, yes I said Obama is an idiot. So am I automatically a racist? If I'm black am I still a racist? Just want to know what you might be thinking and if you pissed already, you should probably stop reading. He's never ran anything, he was a community organizer. As it turns out now, he's lied to the American public. There still aren't any jobs and we still have troops over sea's dieing for a war we should have never gotten into. He said if we spent 700 billion dollars the unemployment rate would stop at 8 percent and now its over 10 and in some places over 15. He's no different than any other bleeding heart liberal. I'm thinking that after this term, when he's thrown out of office, he should become a used car salesman and do what he does best, lie. He will be the down fall of America, well him and the Liberals who think like him.
Now don't get me wrong. Bush was just as bad. I liked him, he was kinda like the old guy who sleeps in the park and talks to himself. We all know he's special, but we tolerate him any way's.
I think he knew about there being no weapons of mass embarrassment in Iraq. He should have just been honest with us. Maybe he thought there were weapons in Iraq. How did Saddam kill all the Kurds? The following was copied from wikipedia.
The Halabja poison gas attack occurred in the period of March 16–17, 1988, during the closing days of the Iran-Iraq War, when chemical weapons were used by the Iraqi government forces in the Kurdish town of Halabja in Iraqi Kurdistan. The attack instantly killed thousands of people (3,200-5,000 dead instantly) and injured 7,000-10,000, most of them civilians;[1] [2] thousands more died of complications, diseases, and birth defects in the years after the attack.[3] The incident, which some define as an act of genocide, was as of 2010 the largest-scale chemical weapons attack directed against a civilian-populated area in history.
So would it be safe to assume that at one time he had them? Is it even conceivable that he still might have had them? We were flying over Iraqi territory during the Clinton years to enforce the no-fly zone that was established during the first Gulf War. So we have had service members in harms way in Iraq since the first Gulf War and I'm also thinking, if an American plane had been shot down, even Clinton would have had to retaliate. Its a sad thing to lose American life's, but I think that getting rid of Saddam was the right thing to do. I just wish I didn't get a bunch of smoke blown up my ass in the process.
I guess my point is, Obama and Bush are extreme in there beliefs, far left and far right respectively. Both parties screw us over. Both parties take and take and take. Promises are made and broken with out any remorse. The average American is fed up with the bullshit.
Both parties have there base, but without the rest of us, it would be a stalemate. So they have to tell us what we want to hear. They lie to us every four years and the best liar gets elected. We have a two party system so this will continue til we pull our heads out of our collective asses.
I am not right or left. I am in the middle but right leaning. I think that the government should stay out of our lives. I hate taxes but I pay them. I think welfare is a good thing if it was used correctly. I think to many people use it as a "career" choice. Where I grew up, it was common for women to get pregnant and go on welfare, drop out of school and have more kids as the need for more money arose. My mother was one of those people I'm talking about. She had six kids by four different men. I guess, if you depend on the government for your month to month needs, your going to vote for who ever gives you the most. But the same goes for big business.
Health care is a mess in this country. Big business runs the HMO's and the unions run the labor and the lawyers make a crap load of money off the both of them. Big business is protected by the Republicans and the Unions and lawyers support the Democrats. You see, if we took all of them out of politics, stopped them all from giving money to there political heads, I bet we wouldn't be in this mess. Money makes the world go round and it doesn't matter on what side of the political fence your on. An example for you, the Unions have raised such a stink over there health care, they will be exempt from a one payer system. Is that fair to the rest of us? The rich can afford better health care and the politicians are exempt also. So if there's any reform its going to be on the middle class and poor in which the middle class pays for the poor, the rich pick up part of the tab, but not enough to bring them down to our standard of living.
You see, there is a simple solution to this mess. Limit the profits of the insurance companies. Limit the malpractice against doctors. Get the lawyers out of medicine for both sides. Before health insurance, medicine was for helping people, healing the sick and so on, now, its all about money. Its evil on both sides of the street and the Doctors and patients pay the price for being in the middle.
When did common sense die in America? Laws dictate pretty much everything we do. In some cases we need them. But please tell me why we have so many stupid ones. Google stupid laws and you'll see what I'm talking about. Warning labels, safety this and that. Lawsuits over hot coffee. Did we just turn into a nation of retards? (Sorry, political correctness is for the weak minded and control freaks.) If I don't want to wear a helmet when I ride my bike, its my business, I know the risks. If I smoke cigarettes I know I could die of cancer. If I'm reaching thru a window at a fast food joint for a cup of hot coffee, I'm going to be very careful, not because it says hot on the cup but because I have a brain. The problem in modern society is, no thinning of the herd, stupid people live long enough to have children. I'm not saying kill stupid people but in the decades past, they did it them self's.
Just want to throw something out there. I say we make marriage something that happens in church and only church. But any two people, consenting adults, same sex or opposite sex, get a civil union. I don't believe in gay marriage, but I don't believe in discrimination. So we make it that every one has to have a civil union and make it legally binding and save the ceremonies for the religious. No, I'm not a homophobe, I do believe in MOST cases its a lifestyle choice. But, I'm not God. He judges, not us. As a matter of fact, along with the anti gay references in the Bible it also says not to judge a person. So thats where I stand. Well you don't know me but my gay friends understand. Its kind of like abortion, I think its wrong, but I don't have a vagina and I'm not the one answering for it. As much as I hate the murder of innocent babies, I would rather a doctor preform the abortion than a 15 year old girl. I also think that if you use abortion as your only form of birth control, after X amount, you should be sterilized.
So these are just my opinions, if I offended any one, I'm not sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, your opinions probably make my blood boil also. But you see, the great thing about America, we are all entitled to our opinions whether or not we agree. We shouldn't have to pick a political side because it almost matches what we believe, but that's all we have. We the people need to educate ourselves and stand up for whats right. Stand up for our America. We are not black or white, gay or straight. We are Americans. We need to stop accepting what our leaders give us. Right will always be right and wrong will always be wrong, the ends never justifies the means. The Government should fear us, the people, not the other way around.
